Hello to you all. I have just a few minutes in between deliveries and I want to get everybody updated. Today we had 128 little ones come through, that will give us a grand total for all days in Harrisburg of 10,345. We had no dogs today.
I would like to thank my trusty Elves for all their help. We had Elves that took picture's (ones to snap the pictures and ones to process the pictures), Elves that made roasted nuts, Elves that helped out and colored with kids, Elves that kept order in Santa Wonderland, and Elves that kept everybody happy and did breaks. Each one did their job well while here. I should also say thanks to the 2 lead Elves - Chris and Troy (their English names).
While we had a quiet day for our last day in Harrisburg PA, there was also some nervousness for what Christmas will bring. I am sure Santa will get the blame for a lot of missed toys and gifts, and that is OK with me. I told each child that Santa will do his best and I never promised anything. Santa will get the blame, even though there are many factors beyond my control. But as Santa I will happily take the blame. Mom and Dad can take credit for all that goes well, and Santa will be back next year to take the blame for all that was sad. But each time Santa arrives it brings a renewed hope to the children, (and the kids at heart) that things will be filled with joy and happiness, and a kind of love only Santa can bring.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, no matter where he is tonight. Tomorrow a special guest will be part of my blog...
Sweet Dreams,
Santa Joe
